What I'm Watching Today in Sports

It's the day after Christmas and there is no shortage of holiday sports on Tv - from English Premier League to college football bowl games, to NBA, and the NFL (maybe there's even some Russian hockey on too or something!). I will be closely following a couple of the matchups in these sports today, enjoying some legal sports gambling andd fantasy sports that I am a part of. Here's the lineup most interesting to me.

English Premier League - Aston Villa (-130) vs Crystal Palace. I am still trying to figure out which EPL team to support, and these two teams are being taken under consideration. It is also being played at 9am, which is fantastic to be able to sip a coffee and watch casually. Looking at recent games, it appears that Aston Villa has been playing well and will have the advatage over Crystal Palace, who are missing two defensive starters. I'll take Villa to win the match, though am happy with any outcome.

I'm also interested in a later English Premier League matchup between Arsenal and Chelsea. A battle of two London area teams, I am just curious to see who wins it. Regardless, I am betting on over 2.5 total goals scored, as I think that it will be a high-scoring affair where both teams comes out aggressively to try and win.

In the NFL, I will be paying close attention to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-10) at Detroit Lions. The Bucs have not been playing well early in games and have had to work their way back into it in the second half, but I think today will be slightly different. Detroit has been playing terribly on defense lately, which should not be a match for the great Tom Brady and his offensive weapons around him. I'll take Tampa Bay by double digits.

Finally in the NBa tonight, I will be wathing my local squad, the Chicago Bulls. I am just rooting for them to win as they are a young team who is hopefully on the upswing. They lost their first game of the season pretty badly, but it would be good if they could put that well being them and play with energy. For fun, I am taking over 222 total points in what could be a high svoring affair vs the Indiana Pacers.
